HolePattern Studio works out evenly spaced hole patterns on any length of material, then turns that layout into a template you can actually use at the bench. You describe the sheet: its length and width, the hole diameter, how many holes belong in a row and how far the pattern should sit from each edge. The app does the arithmetic, draws the result to scale, and gives you the exact positions along both axes. Nothing is left to a tape measure and a pencil mark that drifts by a sixteenth of an inch across twelve holes.
It is made for cabinetmakers, shop fitters, metalworkers, electricians, and anyone drilling a repeatable pattern for shelving pins, ventilation runs, cable pass-throughs, sign fixings or instrument panels. If you have ever needed thirty holes in a row and no way to guarantee the last one landed where the drawing said, this tool was written with you in mind.
The project is built and maintained by the HolePattern Studio team as a focused, single-purpose tool: no account required, no uploads to the cloud, and the pattern is computed in your browser. Feedback from people using it in real workshops shapes what gets added next, so if a spacing rule is missing or a print came out at the wrong scale, the developer wants to hear about it.
Pick how the holes should be distributed along your material, enter the sheet size and hole diameter, and the exact centre-to-centre positions are worked out for you.
Export a true-size PDF with a 1-inch calibration bar, so you can print the pattern on paper and tape it straight onto the workpiece before drilling. Long layouts come out on a narrow roll, so a POS thermal printer runs them off in one continuous, seamless strip with no tiles to line up.
Send the same layout to a CNC router, laser cutter or mill as a 1:1 DXF file, with no re-drawing and no rounding slips.
